What is a Power Slab?

With the decrease in the number of construction technicians required for on-site construction of floor slabs, there is a need to save labor. In addition, to shorten the bridge construction period, rapid construction of the deck slab is necessary. In addition, in order to accommodate structures with fewer main girders in recent years, deck slabs with high bearing capacity are required. Power Slab is a new composite floor slab made from prefabricated steel parts and reinforcing bars to meet these requirements.
We are also developing precast power slabs that are cast in concrete at our factory.

High quality
For power slabs, vertical ribs are welded to the bottom steel plate at the factory, and distribution bars are installed.
These prefabricated panels will be delivered to the site, concrete will be poured, and the slab will be completed.

Long span compatible
After the concrete hardens, the bottom steel plate functions as a structural member that takes care of the cross-sectional force.
It has a composite structure that effectively combines steel members that handle tensile force and concrete that handles compressive force, so it has high rigidity and can be used for long slab spans.

No formwork or shoring required
The bottom steel plate of the power slab acts as formwork until the concrete hardens.
Additionally, since the bottom steel plate is reinforced with vertical ribs, it can stand on its own as a support.

Labor saving on site
The only work on site is the installation of steel panels, reinforcement and concrete pouring. It is possible to save labor and significantly shorten the construction period.

Advantageous in transportation
Conventional precast floor slabs require concrete pouring at a factory, which means the panels are heavy and transportation costs to the site are high. Power slabs are advantageous because only the steel panels are transported.
